Representative Role

As all commercial Banks presently operating in Fiji are its members, the Association considers that it can be perceived as the voice of the banking industry, and as such it plays a significant representative role in respect of matters and issues which confront the industry.

As and when needs arise, ABIF not only engages in dialogue with the appropriate authorities and relative agencies to put forward the interests of its membership but also participates in activities to ensure that the banking fraternity is effectively and adequately represented.

In the past, the Association has provided active and worthwhile contribution through attendance in several seminars, workshops and other conventions where its representative role has been met with understanding and appreciation.

The ABIF will continue to offer its services whenever the occasion demands.
