ABIF member-Banks offer a wide range of banking and financial services to individuals and businesses, and play an important role in the economy. Special significance and value is being accorded to the communities in which they find themselves and remain committed to giving something back to those communities through a variety of sponsorships and numerous activities. Every year, community and service organisations receive monies by way of direct support from ABIF member-Banks banks in various forms. The banking industry also has a strong commitment of providing appropriate personnel training and development at all levels in financial skills and in 1992 embarked on this initiative through the establishment of the Fiji Institute of Bankers.
